Trinity Life Groups
A Life Group at Trinity Church is a small community of people who gather routinely for the primary purpose of developing caring and supportive relationships. Life Group members have the privilege of walking through the Christian life together while praying for and encouraging one another according to the Scripture. Trinity attempts to organize people in Life Groups who live in a similar locale. Scripture encourages us to meet together in a manner where we encourage one another and stir up one another to love and good works (Heb 10:24-25). Life Group values include Prayer, Care, Relationship, Support, Confidentiality, and Transparency.

Why do we have Life Groups?
- In Acts, we see the early Christians meeting together in homes, sharing with and caring for one another. These groups give us an opportunity to practice the “one another’s” of scripture: Rejoice with one another; Pray for one another; Mourn with one another; Serve one another; Encourage one another, etc. Life Groups allow more close and personal connections between individuals than large group gatherings provide. We all need caring and supportive relationships, so Trinity encourages anyone/everyone to participate in a Life Group.
Is a Life Group the same thing as a Bible Study?
- They are different, but complementary. The primary focus of a Life Group is relational, living out our faith in the context of relationships. Discussing the bible is a part of a Life Group, but it comes alongside the emphasis of building relationships. Life Groups aim to help people know each other better and take time to develop positive, caring relationships. Trinity also provides many outlets for Bible Study, including Adult Bible Fellowship, Ladies' groups, Men’s groups, etc.
How often do Life Groups meet?
- Some groups meet once a week, others twice monthly. It is up to the individual groups to establish a meeting schedule for their group. And they select which day and time is best to meet the needs of that group.
What happens in a Life Group?
- While the specific format of group meetings is flexible, they often contain some of these elements: discussion material and questions, prayer for group needs, food, and other engaging activities to promote getting to know others better. As a reminder, the primary purpose of Life Groups is relational. Trinity offers other groups that focus on Bible Study.
How do I get involved in a Trinity Life Group?
- You can become part of a Life Group in a variety of ways.
- Fill out a guest card on Sundays and drop it in the box in the foyer.
- Email the church office to express interest in Life Groups.
- Someone will follow up with you to discuss your interest in Life Groups.
- Please understand there may be a short waiting period before space is available in a nearby Life Group.
Can I join any Life Group at any time?
- Trinity Life Group Coordinator works with Life Group Leaders to understand group capacity and needs. Some groups are of a size that does not accommodate additional members, while other groups have capacity. There may also be times in a Life Group cycle when a group needs to remain static for a period. Based on a variety of needs, we help direct people to Life Groups that are a good fit.
